Digital Product License & Refund Terms
Effective Date: September 21, 2026
These Digital Product License & Refund Terms apply to digital products, templates, systems, guides, downloads, and other digital resources purchased from The Hot Mess Collective (“THMC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a DBA of The Hot Mess Consulting LLC.
These terms supplement the THMC Terms & Conditions. If a specific product page, checkout, license, or written agreement includes different terms, those product-specific terms control for that purchase.
Your license
When you purchase a THMC digital product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that product for your own personal use or internal business operations.
You may download, store, duplicate, edit, and customize the materials as reasonably necessary for your own permitted use.
You may use the workflows, processes, prompts, checklists, templates, and other materials to operate your own business.
What you may not do
Unless THMC gives you written permission, you may not:
Resell or redistribute the product or its source files.
Share the product with another business, organization, purchaser, or the general public.
Sublicense, publish, upload, or make the materials available through a template library, membership, marketplace, file-sharing service, or similar repository.
Sell substantially unchanged THMC materials as your own product.
Remove or misrepresent THMC ownership or attribution where attribution appears in the original materials.
Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of THMC intellectual property.
Third-party tools and accounts
Some products may reference or be designed for use with third-party software, platforms, services, or accounts.
Unless the product page expressly says otherwise, your purchase does not include third-party subscriptions, software licenses, accounts, implementation services, or access permissions. You are responsible for any third-party fees and for complying with the applicable provider’s terms.
Digital-product refunds
Because digital products are delivered electronically and cannot meaningfully be returned after access has been provided, digital-product purchases are generally final once the download, access link, or purchased material has been delivered.
This does not limit any refund, replacement, warranty, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you receive the wrong product, cannot access the purchased files because of a THMC delivery issue, or believe the delivered product materially differs from what was offered, contact THMC so the issue can be reviewed and, where appropriate, corrected.
Updates and future versions
Unless the product page expressly includes future updates, a purchase provides access to the version offered at the time of purchase. THMC may revise, replace, expand, discontinue, or repackage digital products in the future without creating an obligation to provide future versions to prior purchasers.
Support and implementation
Purchasing a digital product does not include consulting, customization, implementation, technical support, or other professional services unless those services are expressly included in the offer.
Educational and operational use
THMC digital products are educational and operational resources. They do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, financial, medical, mental-health, regulatory, or other licensed professional advice.
You are responsible for reviewing materials before implementation and determining whether they are appropriate for your business, jurisdiction, industry, tools, and circumstances.
THMC does not guarantee revenue, sales, leads, efficiency gains, business outcomes, platform performance, or any other specific result from use of a digital product.
Violations of the license
THMC may terminate a purchaser’s license to use the materials if the purchaser materially violates these license terms. Termination does not authorize continued redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or other prohibited use.
Relationship to the Terms & Conditions
These Digital Product License & Refund Terms are incorporated into the THMC Terms & Conditions. The general Terms & Conditions continue to apply to website use, purchases, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and other matters not specifically addressed here.
